BACHELOR STUDY COURSES
The FHDW Hannover offers Bachelor study courses with regular alternation between theory and practical phases. This study model is conducive to developing professional qualifications and personal competences. The students learn to combine theory and practice by means of real and fictive tasks.
Both places of learning – the university and the company play an equal role here. In the university phases current theoretical knowledge is taught and examined to determine its practical applicability. In the practical phases the theoretical knowledge can be checked, applied and expanded to include company specific aspects. Using feedback from this practical feedback and the students’ own reflections the FHDW Hannover gathers suggestions for further developing its curriculum.
In the Master’s study courses the students extend their business knowledge and knowledge of information technology and qualify for advanced creative tasks in reorganising company processes. Graduates from these courses are urgently needed especially in the organisation departments of large companies and in important consulting companies because these graduates have the theoretical analytical skills and the interdisciplinary basic knowledge to enable them to further develop business processes successfully. And in addition, because they are familiar with the most important technologies and methods for implementing innovative solutions, they quickly grow into strategic or operative responsibility.
The university teaching projects which take on current Business Engineering themes and are found at the interface between Business Studies and Computer Sciences form an important element of all the Master’s programmes. These teaching projects ensure the application orientation of the Master’s courses and provide exemplary solutions to problems based on a theoretical approach. When subjects are selected preference is given to tasks set by the co-operation companies, in order to familiarise the students with the complexity of the whole task.
